Terms & House Rules
These terms apply to any ticket bought for, and any participation in, an event organised by Servus Strangers. They sit alongside the terms of the ticketing platform (Eventbrite), which handle payment.
1. Organiser
Servus Strangers is operated by Georgiy Seibel e.U., Nordportalstraße 2, 1020 Vienna, Austria — see Impressum for full details.
2. Tickets, prices and payment
- Tickets are sold via Eventbrite. Payment, refunds and chargebacks are handled by Eventbrite according to their terms.
- Prices are in EUR and include any applicable Austrian tax. The current price is shown at checkout.
- A ticket grants entry for one person to the event named on it. Tickets are personal — please don't resell them.
3. Right of withdrawal & refunds
According to §18(1) Z 10 FAGG (Austrian Distance and Off‑Premises Selling Act), the statutory 14‑day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure event tickets tied to a specific date. That said, our practical policy is:
- Refund up to 7 days before the event — full refund minus Eventbrite fees.
- Within 7 days of the event — we'll try to move you to the next event instead of refunding.
- If we cancel the event, you get a full refund or a transfer of your choice.
4. Age
Servus Strangers events are 18+. We may ask for ID at the door.
5. House rules / Code of conduct
Servus Strangers is built on safety and kindness. By attending, you agree to the following — they're short and we mean them:
- Be kind. Curiosity over judgment. Everyone is here to make friends.
- No harassment. Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise discriminatory behaviour gets you removed without a refund.
- Consent matters. A "no" or "I'm not interested" ends a conversation. Respect it.
- It's not a dating event. We're here for friendship. Romance can happen, but the room is not built for hitting on people.
- What is said at the table stays at the table. Don't share private things others told you.
- Phones down during rounds. Use them at the bar, not at the prompts.
- Drink responsibly. The host can refuse service or ask you to leave if you're a danger to yourself or others.
- Talk to the host. If anything feels wrong, find the host. We have your back.
Reports go to hello@propagandas.at and are handled confidentially.
6. Photos & video at the event
We may take photos and short videos for marketing of Servus Strangers (Instagram, website, press). If you don't want to appear, tell the host on arrival and we'll respect that. You can also ask us to remove an existing image by email anytime — see Privacy Policy.
7. Liability
Personal belongings are your responsibility. Servus Strangers is liable for damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence, as allowed under Austrian law. Statutory liability for personal injury, life and health is not limited.
8. Changes
We may change the venue, time or format of an event for operational reasons, and we'll communicate any change as soon as possible. Material changes give you the right to a refund.
9. Applicable law & venue
Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict‑of‑laws rules and the UN Sales Convention (CISG). For consumers, mandatory consumer‑protection provisions of your habitual residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for non‑consumers is Vienna.
